Salary: USD 135,600 - 169,500 / annual
Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter across 200+ markets. The platform combines corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software with AI-native automation to help founders and finance teams accelerate operations and control spend.
As a Venture Partnerships Associate (titled "Startups Ambassador"), you will be the face of Brex in the startup ecosystem, building trusted relationships with top-tier VCs and high-growth founders. You'll represent Brex at events, drive engagement, and create meaningful connections that deliver value to the startup community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive customer acquisition for newly incorporated through Series B companies via direct sales, strategic partnerships, relationship building, and community events
- Expand and leverage your network of top-tier founders and VCs to support growth efforts
- Launch initiatives to bring founders and VCs together in differentiated ways
- Serve as the respected brand ambassador and face of Brex for Startups in the market
- Provide value-add support to founders: accessing capital (debt and equity), sourcing talent, and connecting customers
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, underwriting, operations, finance, and revenue operations teams
- Maintain strong data hygiene in Salesforce, HEX, Retool, Looker, Scratchpad, and other internal systems
- Leverage AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to improve efficiency and support founder needs
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid structure requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks per year of fully remote work.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in venture capital and/or working at a startup
- Established network within the startup ecosystem
- Proven experience working directly with VCs and founders
- Experience carrying a sales quota (preferred)
- Experience building communities both virtually and in-person
- Self-starter with strong leadership skills, intellectual curiosity, collaborative mindset, high emotional intelligence, and positive, winning attitude
