Babylist is seeking a Vendor Operations Specialist II to own the day-to-day non-compliance ticket workstream for an assigned vendor portfolio. You'll be the primary point of contact for vendors on compliance issues—resolving UPC and labeling problems, routing deviations, and mis-ships that impact fulfillment operations. Your core responsibility is maintaining accurate issue status, reason codes, and dollar amounts across dozens of open tickets so the team can trust the data behind vendor decisions. You'll work directly with vendors to resolve issues, close the loop with Operations and Merchandising on non-compliance outcomes, and pursue credit memos on open discrepancies. The role involves heavy use of Google Sheets and Excel for compiling vendor data templates, updating ticket trackers, and spotting errors before they escalate. As you grow in the role, you'll take on portfolio-level ownership: analyzing vendor compliance trends, preparing KPI scorecards shared with internal teams and vendor partners, and escalating patterns with supporting data to the Senior Vendor Operations Specialist. You'll also support pieces of vendor onboarding as needed, working from established playbooks. This role sits within the Supply Chain team, reports to the Inventory Control & QA Operations Manager, and collaborates daily with Planning, Transportation, Accounting, Merchandising, Order Management, EDI, and fulfillment partners. You bring 3–5 years of experience in vendor operations, inbound logistics, supply chain coordination, or similar roles requiring high-volume vendor communication and accurate issue tracking. You're comfortable owning a defined scope with minimal oversight, making decisions within your lane and escalating appropriately. You naturally reach for AI tools to move faster and improve output, and you stay curious about emerging technologies. You're a direct cross-functional communicator who can resolve issues independently and surface process improvement proposals backed by data.
