Salary: USD 200,000 - 220,000 / annual
Translucent is building an AI financial analyst platform for healthcare organizations, helping providers make faster and smarter business decisions. This is a founding design role where you'll be the design leader shaping how complex financial and operational workflows become intuitive and insight-driven through AI.
You'll own the full design lifecycle: product design, UX architecture, prototyping, and visual aesthetic. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and forward-deployed teams to understand customer workflows and pain points, then translate complex, data-heavy use cases into clear, highly-usable experiences. You'll define and evolve the design system, visual language, and UX patterns across the platform, create high-fidelity prototypes to communicate direction, and collaborate with engineering to ensure design intent is delivered with quality.
You'll drive UX experimentation through user testing and feedback sessions, and mentor others in design best practices to raise the bar across the team.
You bring 6–10+ years designing high-quality digital products, ideally in SaaS, analytics platforms, or AI-powered tools. You have mastery of UX and interaction design—the ability to simplify complexity without oversimplifying. You have strong visual taste, experience designing for data-heavy workflow-driven use cases, and can create production-ready Figma designs and prototypes at speed. You're comfortable working in high-velocity environments with ambiguity, collaborate fluidly with product and engineering, and communicate clearly about design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your portfolio demonstrates systems thinking, product storytelling, and beautiful execution.
Bonus experience includes designing financial analytics or healthcare tools, conversational interfaces or generative AI UX patterns, startup experience with design strategy ownership, or coding ability.
