Xendit is a Southeast Asian payment infrastructure company processing millions of transactions monthly for SMEs and enterprises. The company provides APIs, eCommerce integrations, and applications for payments, marketplace operations, payroll disbursement, loans, KYC solutions, and fraud prevention. This UX Designer role focuses on Developer Experience (DevEx)—a specialized discipline requiring deep understanding of how developers interact with technical products. You will own the design of Xendit's developer dashboard, integration surfaces, API documentation, and error/empty states that guide developers through onboarding, testing, and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include: - Product design for the developer dashboard and integration surfaces, ensuring clarity and speed for technical users - Information design for API documentation and reference materials, partnering with Engineering and content teams - Designing critical moments: error states, empty states, sandbox environments, and testing flows where developers often get stuck - Direct discovery work with developers and close collaboration with the DevEx PM and Engineering team You will report to the Product Design & UX Director for Customer Lifecycle and be embedded as the design owner within the DevEx team. Rather than owning the design system, you adopt and extend it in partnership with the senior design-system lead, allowing you to focus on product work from day one. The team values validated findings over assumptions and encourages direct, candid critique. Required qualifications: - Proven product-design craft with evidence of designing for technical, developer, or data-dense products (portfolio required) - Comfort designing information-dense UIs: dashboards, tables, complex state management - Strong ability to partner closely with engineers and technical teams Desirable experience: designing developer documentation, API references, or developer tools; technical literacy; fintech background. The ideal candidate can articulate how they reduced complexity for technical users in a specific product, explaining design decisions rather than simply showcasing screens.
