Tripledot Studios is one of the world's largest independent mobile games companies, with 2,500+ employees across 12 studios and a portfolio of top-charting titles reaching over 25 million daily active users.
You'll join Ludios, Tripledot's APAC-based studio led by co-founder Eyal, which develops and publishes casual free-to-play mobile games. The studio is based across APAC with major development hubs in Jakarta and Melbourne. Ludios is currently working on several exciting projects, including titles built around globally recognized IP and original games.
As a UX Designer, you will work closely with the Lead UX Designer and the broader game development team to design and improve features throughout the game. You'll translate feature requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction solutions. The role involves working primarily in Figma to create Lo-Fi and Mid-Fi wireframes, user flows, flowcharts, and state machines. You'll research and analyze competitor games to understand existing UX patterns and adapt relevant ideas to the game's needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing engaging, intuitive, and functional UX solutions for new and existing game features
- Translating game and product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs
- Creating Lo-Fi and Mid-Fi wireframes in Figma to explore and communicate UX solutions
- Creating flowcharts and state machines to communicate complex feature logic and player interactions
- Breaking down complex features into clear user journeys, states, and edge cases
- Analyzing how new features interact with existing game systems to ensure consistent player experience
- Researching competitor games and identifying useful UX patterns to adapt appropriately
- Iterating on designs based on feedback from stakeholders including the Lead UX Designer, game designers, product team, and playtesting
- Designing and optimizing gameplay and feature flows for easy player understanding and navigation
- Collaborating with Game Design, Product, UI, Art, and Engineering teams to ensure UX solutions are practical and technically feasible
- Maintaining organized UX documentation and Figma files
- Contributing to improving the team's UX processes, patterns, and best practices

Requirements:
- Professional experience in UX Design within the games industry, preferably mobile games
- Portfolio demonstrating completed UX projects and strong understanding of interaction design
- Strong understanding of UX fundamentals, user flows, information architecture, and interaction design
- Ability to break down complex features into clear flows, states, and interactions
- Good working knowledge of Figma, particularly for wireframing, prototyping, and creating user flows
- Experience creating Lo-Fi and Mid-Fi wireframes and interactive prototypes
- Ability to create flowcharts and state diagrams/state machines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze competitor games and identify relevant UX patterns
- Ability to explain and communicate the reasoning behind UX decisions
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on designs
- Good understanding of casual game UX and player behavior
- Knowledge of and passion for casual/mobile games
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
