Salary: GBP 101,000 - 149,000 / annual

Affirm is a fintech company that enables people to pay over time with transparent, predictable terms and no hidden fees. The company is expanding globally and scaling its post-purchase experience platform. You will join the Product Design team to lead end-to-end design for key initiatives spanning UK and international experiences, as well as post-purchase experiences globally across app and web platforms. This is a high-impact role at a critical growth inflection point, where millions of customers engage with Affirm's products daily. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end design for major initiatives from discovery through delivery and iteration, driving meaningful customer and business outcomes - Own complex flows and ambiguous problem spaces, defining clear problem statements, success metrics, and design direction - Partner closely with product, engineering, and data teams to make informed trade-offs and deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences - Balance speed and quality, making pragmatic decisions while maintaining cohesive product experience - Use research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes - Contribute to design systems and patterns to strengthen consistency and scalability - Facilitate alignment and decision-making across cross-functional teams - Support and mentor other designers, raising the quality of work across the team You'll work on designing financial products that help people manage their money with confidence, focusing on building trust and transparency through thoughtful, delightful user experiences. Requirements: - 5+ years of product design experience or equivalent practical experience - Strong craft and execution: consistently deliver polished, thoughtful interaction and visual design with high attention to detail - Product thinking: balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to make sound design decisions - Ownership and initiative: take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive work forward with minimal oversight - Cross-functional collaboration: build strong partnerships, communicate clearly, and help teams align on decisions - Data-informed decision making: use research, experimentation, and analytics to guide work and iterate toward better outcomes - Team-level influence: serve as a trusted design partner within your area, contributing to direction and improving team processes - Growth and adaptability: seek feedback, continuously improve craft, and leverage modern tools including AI - Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, G Suite, Notion, etc.)
