Wave is building financial services to make Africa the first cashless continent. The company operates a mobile money platform across 9 African countries, enabling cash deposits, withdrawals, peer-to-peer transfers, and business payments with no account fees and instant availability.
As User Growth Regional Lead based in Sierra Leone, you will lead Wave's ground-level expansion and user acquisition efforts across the region. You'll manage a team of supervisors and field-based distributors responsible for recruiting new users and driving adoption of Wave's financial products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and scale a team of supervisors/team leads overseeing field distributors
- Design and execute user acquisition and retention strategies for money transfers and bill payments
- Identify and resolve blockers to user growth and product adoption
- Develop quarterly roadmaps and key objectives for your distribution team
- Hire, train, and build systems to rapidly scale the distribution organization
- Use data to inform strategy and monitor team performance
- Collaborate with agency partners to align objectives and operationalize strategies
- Contribute to Wave's broader distribution strategy through field insights and learnings
- Lead by example, embedding Wave's values within your team
You'll report into the broader growth organization and work closely with headquarters teams while maintaining autonomy over regional execution. The role requires willingness to relocate to other regions as needed.
