VAST Data is a rapidly growing AI infrastructure company building foundational enterprise software for the data and AI era. The company engineers platforms that capture, catalog, refine, and protect massive datasets across data centers, edge, and cloud environments, enabling real-time analytics, AI training, and inference at scale.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will shape the user experience for VAST Data's web and software properties, playing a critical role in designing intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. You will work closely with product management, engineering, and customer success teams to create exceptional user experiences that meet customer needs and enhance their interactions with the platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design intuitive, visually appealing web experiences and user interfaces aligned with VAST Data's brand guidelines and design principles
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs to communicate and iterate on design concepts
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation and provide guidance during development
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in web and UI design
- Work with product and engineering teams to understand user requirements and translate them into user-centric design solutions
- Manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
You bring 5+ years of experience as a Web/UI Designer in software or technology-driven environments, with demonstrated expertise designing both websites and software applications. You are proficient in Figma, have a strong portfolio showcasing diverse Web/UI design projects, and possess solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design. Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and user feedback analysis is essential. You are a self-directed critical thinker with strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in dynamic environments and deliver results under tight timelines.
Preferred qualifications include experience designing enterprise software or data-related products, knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and familiarity with agile methodologies.
