Candescent is a fintech company transforming how financial institutions deliver intelligent banking experiences through digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions. The company combines human-centered design with data, automation, and cloud-based innovation on an API-first architecture.
You will be a UI/UX Designer responsible for shaping the look, feel, and usability of Candescent's website and digital experiences. This is a hands-on design role focused on solving user problems through clean, purposeful design and seeing work shipped quickly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity UI for web pages, landing pages, and digital experiences in Figma
- Translate business goals and user needs into intuitive user flows and information architecture
- Design and iterate on landing pages and campaign assets for marketing and demand generation
- Support A/B testing initiatives by designing test variants for key pages and conversion flows
- Create and maintain a design system and component library to ensure visual consistency
- Apply Candescent brand standards consistently across all digital work (typography, color, iconography, imagery)
- Ensure designs follow accessibility best practices (WCAG) and are optimized for performance
- Conduct or contribute to user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Use analytics and test results to identify usability problems and prioritize improvements
- Collaborate closely with web development teams to ensure accurate implementation and responsive design
- Partner with stakeholders across marketing, product marketing, and sales to gather requirements and present design concepts
- Maintain working schedule with sufficient overlap with US business hours on at least a few days each week for live collaboration and handoffs
Success is measured by intuitive, on-brand designs that elevate user experience; smooth design-to-development handoffs with minimal rework; a well-maintained, scalable design system; measurable improvements in usability and conversion; and clear stakeholder communication.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably for web or digital marketing
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, and prototyping
- Solid portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, typography, and layout skills
- Understanding of responsive design principles and designing for multiple breakpoints and devices
- Working knowledge of UX best practices, user flows, and information architecture
- Ability to translate business and marketing goals into clear, user-centered design solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to present and explain design decisions to stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong sense of visual polish and consistency
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, or related field; equivalent professional experience and strong portfolio will be considered
PREFERRED:
- Hands-on experience building or editing sites in Webflow
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS and how designs translate to code
- Experience with user research or usability testing methods
- Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization principles
- Experience designing for SEO-friendly page structures
- Experience supporting financial services, technology, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise software brands
- Experience collaborating across geographies and time zones
