Lab37 Robotics is a technology company developing and deploying robots for direct-to-customer food production. The company is building an internal tools ecosystem for kitchen operations, including inventory tracking, recipe development, learning management systems, manager dashboards, performance metrics, robot user interfaces, and task scheduling.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will own the design process from concept through launch across multiple platforms and devices. Your responsibilities include designing user interfaces for on-robot displays, customer-facing applications, and internal operational tools; conducting qualitative and quantitative user research through interviews and usability testing; creating high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and detailed user flows; and collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to drive design decisions.
You will also explore and implement AI-powered solutions for customers and internal tools, maintain the design system by contributing to core components and patterns, and serve as a strategic partner in understanding the competitive environment and shaping product vision.
The ideal candidate has 4+ years of UI/UX design experience with proficiency in Figma and strong full-stack design skills spanning interaction design, visual design, and system thinking. You should be comfortable in a startup environment, have a proven track record of building products from the ground up, and demonstrate excellent cross-functional collaboration. Experience with multiple platforms beyond iOS, strong typography and layout fundamentals, and the ability to work within an existing brand are essential. A passion for food and helping restaurateurs succeed is valued.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Los Angeles with a required five-day-per-week onsite schedule.
