Mollie is building the Treasury function from the ground up as it transitions from a payments platform to a regulated bank. As Treasury Manager for Asset & Liability Management (ALM), you will own the 0-to-1 build of Mollie's ALM framework—a genuine greenfield opportunity with no legacy systems to maintain.
Your core responsibilities include designing and building Mollie's liquidity risk framework (ILAAP, LCR/NSFR monitoring, stress testing), developing approaches to interest rate risk and credit spread risk in the banking book (IRRBB/CSRBB), and contributing to funding and balance sheet strategy. You will build the Contingency Funding Plan with early-warning indicators, create policies and methodologies that withstand regulatory scrutiny from DNB/ECB and external auditors, and support senior leadership (ALCO) with analysis and recommendations for balance sheet decisions.
Your work will directly feed into Mollie's banking license application and, post-authorization, into live risk management operations. You'll partner closely with Product, Finance, Risk, and external advisors to ensure Treasury frameworks align with enterprise risk appetite and governance.
You bring 5+ years of Treasury, ALM, or balance sheet risk management experience, ideally from a bank, fintech, PSP, or advisory firm. You have solid working knowledge of liquidity risk frameworks and/or interest rate risk in the banking book, with the ability to build models and frameworks from scratch. Strong quantitative skills, Excel/financial modeling discipline, and the ability to explain complex topics to non-specialists are essential. You're curious about how AI can automate routine work, freeing your time for judgment and design.
