Aalo Atomics is pioneering factory-fabricated microreactors to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power globally. The company is based in Austin, TX and is rapidly growing as it works to deploy the world's first fleet of advanced microreactors.
As a Training Specialist, you will provide comprehensive instructional support through training analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure Aalo Atomics personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform their assigned tasks. You will ensure all training activities comply with company procedures and applicable DOE, NRC, State, and Federal regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Instruct classroom courses across various technical topics
- Incorporate operational excellence principles including Conduct of Operations & Maintenance, ISMS, and Human Performance into training delivery
- Apply ISMS-CCR, Systematic Approach to Training, and Graded Approach methodologies
- Communicate regularly with department management and subject matter experts to identify training needs and implement corrective actions
- Review and update course materials regularly to ensure current information
- Collaborate with department management to create training plans, job codes, and qualified watchlists within the LMS
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned
The role requires demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques through Basic Instructor Training (BIT) or equivalent, with preferred expertise in nuclear, safety, and equipment training. You should understand andragogical learning theory and possess working knowledge of classroom motivation and management. The position requires onsite work in Idaho Falls, Austin, and INL. Preferred candidates have 10+ years of training and/or nuclear industry experience.
