FalconX is a pioneering institutional crypto trading and market-making firm operating at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets. The company provides comprehensive solutions for digital asset strategies, serving as a connective tissue for clients navigating the cryptocurrency landscape with advanced trading and risk systems across global crypto exchanges.
You will join FalconX's New York-based trading desk as a junior trader in a full-time, in-person role. This position covers trading operations Saturday through Wednesday, with the expectation of transitioning to a standard M-F full-time trading role following a successful 18-month term. You will be part of one of the leading sell-side crypto trading desks globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Trading and managing positions across crypto spot and derivatives markets
- Coordinating with global trading teams to maintain seamless 24/7 market coverage
- Ensuring accurate trade capture and quality data flow in risk systems
- Executing and maintaining up-to-date position reconciliation with high accuracy and timeliness
- Compiling and analyzing trading metrics
- Working with accounting and operations teams to ensure record accuracy and investigate discrepancies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1–4 years of experience in trading or trading support at a bank, proprietary trading firm, or market-making firm (crypto experience a plus)
- Basic understanding of options theory and Greek risks
- Coding skills in Python or SQL desirable but not mandatory
- Strong interest in crypto and macroeconomic markets
- Personal experience using various blockchain protocols and understanding of crypto liquidity conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset
