As Territory Manager for North West Tasmania (Devonport/Launceston area), you will drive business growth and ensure customer success within your designated territory. You'll execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and meet ambitious growth targets while serving as Halter's on-the-ground representative. The role requires a proactive, hands-on approach balancing expansion with long-term customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prospecting and lead generation through proactive outreach, referrals, and industry events, managing the full sales pipeline from lead generation through close
- Meeting high-growth sales targets by screening, qualifying, demonstrating the product, and negotiating contracts
- Post-sale account management to ensure customer satisfaction, address challenges, and facilitate smooth onboarding and deployment
- Territory ownership with deep relationship-building across the dairy and beef industries
- Assisting with end-to-end customer onboarding and deployment experience
- Gathering and sharing field learnings and customer feedback with Product, Support, and R&D teams to drive product improvements
- Collaborating with Support teams to resolve customer issues quickly
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Support, and regional sales, with frequent travel required throughout your territory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Sales & Customer Success Expertise: Value-based sales experience with a strong track record of creating opportunities, closing deals, and building lasting customer relationships. Experience with post-sales value building and upselling to grow partnerships.
- Dairy Industry Experience: Deep knowledge of dairy operations and the unique challenges of the industry. If lacking direct experience, must demonstrate passionate commitment to rapidly learning farm operations.

- Territory Management: Critical thinking skills to manage a large territory with balanced focus on sales and customer success, making appropriate trade-offs.

- Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within territory to engage with customers and prospects is essential.
