Salary: USD 125,000 - 200,000 / annual
HeartFlow is a publicly traded medical technology company (HTFL) that develops AI-driven diagnostic solutions for coronary artery disease, the leading cause of death worldwide. The company's flagship product, HeartFlow FFR_CT Analysis, provides a non-invasive cardiac test that generates a color-coded 3D model of coronary arteries to assess blood flow impact. The product is cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada, and has been used for over 750,000 patients globally.
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) will serve as HeartFlow's primary representative within a designated geographic region (Santa Rosa/Novato area). This is a customer-facing role focused on driving adoption of HeartFlow's non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic technology through a network of referring physicians and healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development plans with key strategic accounts to drive growth and adoption of cCTA and FFR_CT clinical pathways
- Work with cardiologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical stakeholders to build relationships and increase HeartFlow usage
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Territory Sales Manager, Marketing, Market Access, CT Apps, Product Development, Clinical) to organize and staff educational programs, VIP visits, CT pathway road-shows, and physician office meetings
- Educate customers on HeartFlow's value proposition through presentations and discussions with referring physicians
- Champion HeartFlow and build physician advocacy within assigned accounts
- Meet or exceed quota for strategic accounts, driving cCTA growth (conversion of non-invasive tests) and FFR_CT penetration/case growth
- Approximately 20-25% travel expected from home office
Requirements:
- 4-year degree with 5+ years of related sales or clinical experience, OR 2-year degree with 7+ years of related sales or clinical experience
- Degree in Science, Medical, Business, Marketing, or Technical field preferred
- Proven sales skills and track record of sales achievement
- Account development experience; experience building and supporting strong clinical programs preferred
- Clinical/technical proficiency; quick learner able to grasp and disseminate new clinical/technical information
- Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders (administrative staff, cardiologists, referring physicians, hospital marketing, strategic personnel)
- Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate field and HQ resources
- Customer-focused mentality with excellent problem-solving ability under pressure
- Ability to explain medical technologies to healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of cardiac patient pathways and diagnostic technology preferred
- Prior experience in medical device, cardiology pharmaceuticals, cardiology radio-pharmaceuticals, hospital, or medical software highly desired
- Experience introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals highly desired
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional etiquette
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, ability to initiate and complete projects
