Salary: USD 125,000 - 200,000 / annual
HeartFlow is a publicly traded medical technology company (HTFL) that develops AI-driven diagnostic solutions for coronary artery disease, the leading cause of death worldwide. The company's flagship product, HeartFlow FFR_CT Analysis, provides a non-invasive cardiac test that generates a color-coded 3D model of coronary arteries to assess blood flow impact. The product is cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada, and has been deployed for over 750,000 patients globally.
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) will serve as HeartFlow's primary representative within a designated geographic region covering New England (Boston, Nashua, Manchester). This is a customer-facing sales role focused on driving adoption of HeartFlow's non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic technology through a network of referring physicians and healthcare facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing business development plans with key strategic accounts to drive growth and adoption of the cCTA and FFR_CT clinical pathway
- Facilitating cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Territory Sales Manager, Marketing, Market Access, CT Apps, Product Development, Clinical) to organize and staff educational programs, VIP visits, CT pathway road-shows, and physician office meetings
- Building and maintaining relationships with referring physicians, cardiologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical stakeholders
- Educating customers on HeartFlow's value proposition through presentations and clinical discussions
- Championing HeartFlow and building physician advocacy within assigned accounts
- Meeting or exceeding quota for strategic accounts, with performance measured on cCTA growth (conversion of non-invasive tests) and FFR_CT penetration/case growth over baseline
The role requires approximately 20-25% travel from a home office.
Requirements:
- 4-year degree with 5+ years of related sales or clinical experience, OR 2-year degree with 7+ years of related sales or clinical experience
- Degree in Science, Medical, Business, Marketing, or Technical field preferred
- Proven sales skills and track record of sales achievement
- Account development experience; experience building and supporting strong clinical programs preferred
- Clinical/technical proficiency; quick learner able to grasp and disseminate new clinical/technical information
- Ability to develop relationships with key account stakeholders (administrative staff, cardiologists, referring physician practices, hospital marketing, strategic personnel)
- Cross-functional coordination skills to support focused customers and execute program development plans
- Customer-focused mentality with strong problem-solving ability under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional etiquette
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Prior experience in medical device, cardiology pharmaceuticals, cardiology radio-pharmaceuticals, hospital, or medical software highly desired
- Experience introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals highly desired
- Knowledge of cardiac patient pathways and diagnostic technology preferred
- Self-motivated with ability to initiate, organize, and complete projects
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with customers from diverse technical and clinical backgrounds
