Salary: USD 125,000 - 200,000 / annual
HeartFlow is a publicly traded medical technology company (HTFL) that develops AI-driven diagnostic solutions for coronary artery disease, the leading cause of death worldwide. The company's flagship product, HeartFlow FFR_CT Analysis, provides a non-invasive, 3D color-coded model of coronary arteries to help clinicians assess blood flow impact and identify stenoses. The product is cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada, and has been deployed for over 750,000 patients globally.
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) will serve as HeartFlow's primary representative within a designated geographic region (Bakersfield, Santa Clarita, and San Fernando, CA). This is a customer-facing role focused on driving adoption of HeartFlow's cCTA and FFR_CT clinical pathways among key strategic accounts. The TAM will spend approximately 20–25% of time traveling to customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development plans with key strategic HeartFlow accounts, working closely with account stakeholders to drive growth and adoption.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Territory Sales Manager, Marketing, Market Access, CT Apps, Product Development, Clinical) to deploy leadership resources, organize physician education programs, VIP visits, CT pathway road-shows, and referring physician office meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with referring physicians and clinical stakeholders; educate customers on HeartFlow's value proposition through presentations and discussions.
- Champion HeartFlow and build physician advocacy within assigned accounts.
- Meet or exceed quota for strategic accounts; drive cCTA growth (conversion of non-invasive tests) and FFR_CT penetration/case growth over baseline (measured in percentage and dollars).
- Performance is evaluated on quota achievement and clinical pathway adoption metrics within active/targeted accounts.
Required Qualifications:
- 4-year degree with 5+ years of related sales or clinical experience, OR 2-year degree with 7+ years of related sales or clinical experience.
- Proven sales skills and track record of sales achievement.
- Clinical/technical proficiency; ability to quickly grasp and disseminate new clinical/technical information to customers.
- Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders (administrators, cardiologists, referring physicians, hospital marketing, strategic personnel).
- Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional etiquette.
- Self-motivated; ability to initiate, organize, and complete projects.
- Strong problem-solving ability under pressure; excellent work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments with customers from diverse technical and clinical backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Science, Medical, Business, Marketing, or Technical field.
- Prior experience in medical device, cardiology pharmaceuticals, cardiology radio-pharmaceuticals, hospital, or medical software.
- Experience building and supporting strong clinical programs.
- Knowledge of cardiac patient pathways and diagnostic technology.
- Experience introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals.
