FanDuel seeks a Technology Operations Senior Director to lead a globally distributed Technology Operations organization supporting multiple product lines including Sportsbook, Predicts, Casino, Fantasy, Retail, and Racing. This strategic leadership role drives the vision and evolution of Technology Operations through an AI-first approach, optimizing the full operational lifecycle from proactive service reliability and operational readiness to change management, incident response, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include developing and executing the strategic vision for Technology Operations aligned with business objectives; leading, guiding, and mentoring a team of supporting engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and operational excellence; evolving Technology Operations functions based on business feedback to provide best-in-class support; defining key OKRs and success metrics including operational trend analysis (MTTR reduction, auto-resolution rates, team efficiency); championing self-service diagnostic and remediation tools that empower teams to resolve common issues autonomously; driving adoption of AI-enabled auto-healing and triage capabilities that detect and automatically resolve predictable operational issues before customer impact; ensuring cost-effective use of technology resources while maintaining high service levels; building organizational readiness and change management strategies incorporating AI-augmented workflows; ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards; contributing to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning strategies; and deputizing for the SVP of Technology in executive forums and senior stakeholder management for major incidents and tech transformation. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with strategic thinking and tactical execution capabilities; current knowledge of latest technology trends and developments to advance Technology Operations strategies; ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments managing multiple business-critical workstreams; and a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
