Zoox is seeking a Team Lead for Readiness & Response to oversee fleet operations in Dallas. You will manage a hybrid team of FTE Shift Leads and contingent workers, ensuring optimal vehicle preparation and incident response while maintaining alignment with organizational uptime goals. Key responsibilities include: - Direct management and mentorship of Shift Leads and contingent workforce, overseeing daily floor operations and performance coaching - Execution of unified fleet strategy covering both mission readiness (vehicle preparation) and fleet response (incident management) - Primary escalation point for critical field incidents and service interferences, making high-level decisions on complex vehicle or rider issues - Administrative and people leadership for a multidisciplinary team, including onboarding, training, and performance management of contract workers - Vendor and partner relationship management for vehicle recovery, roadside assistance, and facility services, ensuring compliance with SLAs - Identification and resolution of operational bottlenecks in depot workflows (software deployment, sensor cleaning) and field response protocols - Regulatory and safety compliance oversight, including OSHA adherence and accurate vehicle documentation and status reporting - Analysis and reporting of site-specific KPIs, providing leadership with data-driven insights into fleet health, team efficiency, and vendor performance - Collaboration with Fleet Ops leaders to optimize fleet utilization and drive market needs - Travel less than 20% Required qualifications: - 8+ years in operations-based environments - Proven ability to manage and develop people leaders at Shift Lead or Supervisor level - Extensive experience leading and managing contingent or contractor workforces - Demonstrated vendor and partner management experience with SLA accountability - Strong critical thinking and decision-making under pressure in fast-paced situations - Technical aptitude for complex systems (autonomous vehicle hardware/software) to lead technical teams and communicate with engineering - Process improvement experience (Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies) - Commitment to safety excellence and clean driving record Bonus qualifications include bachelor's degree in business management, operations, or finance; autonomous vehicle or safety-critical industry experience; fast-paced service environment background; Lean Six Sigma certification; and fleet management software familiarity.
