As Senior Sourcing & Procurement Manager, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of purchase orders and supplier engagement for complex engineered hardware programs. This individual contributor role combines analytical rigor with hands-on execution across supply chain operations, with clear growth potential into supervisory and people management roles.
Key responsibilities include executing purchase orders with supplier negotiations and risk mitigation for critical programs; developing data-driven sourcing tools and dashboards to track supplier performance and delivery accuracy; driving cost efficiency through supplier collaboration and process improvements; managing procurement workflows including pre-award reviews; identifying automation opportunities to reduce manual work; and partnering cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams.
You will need U.S. Person status (citizen, green card holder, or protected individual under ITAR/EAR regulations). Required qualifications include experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within technical/engineering environments; proficiency with data tools (SQL, Python, BI tools); experience with ERP/MRP/MES systems; strong negotiation skills; ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; and a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field. Preferred experience includes complex hardware/engineering programs, high-growth technical organizations, high-value spend portfolios, procurement automation, and aerospace or space industry background.
The team includes veterans from SpaceX, Blue Origin, Stoke Space, Astranis, and NASA, based in San Carlos, CA.
