The Technical Supply Chain Manager will serve as a strategic bridge between Supply Chain, Product, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams, optimizing hardware lifecycle management and vehicle reliability across North American markets. This role combines technical hardware expertise with supply chain operations to drive data-informed decisions that improve serviceability, reduce costs, and enhance vehicle performance.
Key responsibilities include leading SKU rationalization and simplification initiatives to streamline parts ordering, inventory management, and vehicle maintenance processes. You will drive initiatives to reduce obsolete and excess inventory while developing training programs for market teams. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to analyze parts consumption trends, identify cost reduction opportunities, and implement strategies to improve parts utilization and operational efficiency.
On the quality side, you will provide hardware performance insights to guide product development and supplier selection, analyze field failures and warranty data to identify root causes, and recommend design or supplier improvements. You'll serve as the primary liaison between U.S. operations and Asia-based Quality teams for vehicle quality issues and corrective action implementation. You'll also work to improve reverse logistics efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, plus 7+ years in hardware engineering, repair, after-sales service, product quality, supply chain engineering, or related fields. You must be fluent in Mandarin and English to collaborate with international teams, with willingness to travel up to 50% including domestic and occasional international trips. Strong analytical skills, cross-functional project management, and experience with ERP or business intelligence tools are essential. Experience in micromobility, automotive, or electromechanical products is preferred.
Based in Santa Monica HQ, this is a four-day-per-week in-office role (Monday–Thursday).
