Hex is a collaborative analytics and data science workspace backed by strong funding and rapid growth. The company is seeking a Technical Sourcer to own top-of-funnel talent discovery for engineering, AI infrastructure, product, and design roles.
In this role, you will build and execute an AI-forward sourcing strategy that goes beyond traditional LinkedIn playbooks. You'll design repeatable pathways to find exceptional technical talent, using AI sourcing tools (Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, GitHub) to unlock discovery, enrichment, and outreach at scale. You'll map deep talent pools and competitive companies to surface undiscovered candidates, then partner with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate profiles and translate insights into precise search criteria.
Key responsibilities include: owning sourcing strategy for niche and evergreen technical searches; building and iterating AI-assisted outreach that engineers actually respond to; designing prompts, templates, and workflows for team reuse; tracking conversion and response rates; A/B testing messaging; and continuously evaluating new AI sourcing tools to raise the bar across the talent team.
You'll need 4+ years of technical or engineering sourcing experience, ideally at a high-growth startup. You should be fluent with AI tooling for recruiting and have built sourcing programs or automation workflows from scratch. Technical literacy is essential—you can read GitHub profiles, understand research papers, and identify exceptional talent. You're a precise operator with strong hunter instincts, comfort with ambiguity, and creativity in finding unique touchpoints. Experience with Ashby and tools like Gem, Juicebox, Noon, or Metaview is valued. Above all, you care about candidate experience and know how to move people through the pipeline quickly while advocating for them early.
