Salary: USD 117,400 - 176,000 / annual
Harvey is seeking a Technical Revenue Accounting Lead to scale revenue recognition across a rapidly expanding portfolio of customer and partnership arrangements. Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager, you'll serve as the company's subject-matter expert on ASC 606 and technical revenue accounting, partnering closely with Finance, Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and Product teams.
Key responsibilities include providing technical accounting guidance on non-standard revenue transactions, including partnership agreements and complex subscription and usage-based deal structures. You'll evaluate revenue accounting implications of new products, pricing models, and go-to-market motions, advising cross-functional teams on accounting treatment. You'll develop, document, and maintain revenue recognition policies, position papers, and accounting playbooks that scale with the business.
You'll support month-end close processes and coordinate with external auditors, help implement and optimize revenue systems and automation to improve accuracy and efficiency, and design internal controls over revenue in support of audit and future SOX readiness. Ad hoc financial reporting requests and system optimization are also part of the role.
Required qualifications include 3-5 years of revenue accounting experience with a CPA credential and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. You need experience in public accounting and at a high-growth technology company with emphasis in technical accounting. Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and demonstrated experience applying guidance to non-standard contracts, including ASC 340-40 (costs to obtain a contract), is essential. You should be able to write clear technical accounting memos, research guidance, state positions, and defend conclusions. Cross-functional partnership skills with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Product in fast-moving environments are critical. Experience with Netsuite and Netsuite ARM (or similar systems) is required.
