Vapi is scaling from ~100 employees and building its Talent Acquisition function from the ground up. This Technical Recruiter role owns full-cycle engineering hiring end-to-end, partnering directly with engineering leaders to shape recruiting strategy as the company scales.
In the first 30 days, you'll learn Vapi's engineering organization, interview philosophy, and hiring bar while building relationships with engineering leaders and taking ownership of initial technical searches. By day 60, you'll independently run full-cycle recruiting across your engineering portfolio, building high-quality pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, and creative talent strategies. You'll partner with hiring managers on job definitions, interview design, and scorecards, and lead candidate management through offer and closing. By day 90, you'll consistently deliver exceptional engineering hires, bring market intelligence and recruiting insights to leadership, become a trusted advisor to hiring managers, and deliver a candidate experience that reflects Vapi's quality and ambition.
You bring 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with significant ownership of technical and engineering hiring, ideally from early-stage or hyper-growth technology companies where hiring velocity mattered. You have a track record of sourcing and closing exceptional engineering talent in competitive markets, strong recruiting judgment, excellent partnership skills with engineering leaders and executives, and exceptional organizational discipline. You operate with high agency—identifying problems, proposing solutions, and improving systems independently. Curiosity about technology and experience recruiting in AI, infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed systems is a plus.
