Camber is a healthcare software company that has raised $50M from top-tier investors (a16z, Craft Ventures, YCombinator) to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare by streamlining clinical workflows. The company has grown to over 100 employees and is accelerating hiring across engineering, data, and AI/ML.
You will own technical recruiting as the company scales its engineering team, partnering closely with leadership and hiring managers to attract and close top talent. This is a full-cycle role with significant ownership across the entire recruiting funnel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead top-of-funnel sourcing initiatives: Scale sourcing efforts through A/B testing, outreach experimentation, and emerging platforms. This is identified as the biggest needle mover for success.
- Develop search strategy: Build talent maps, research competitive markets, and create creative outreach approaches for technical roles.
- Drive data-informed decisions: Own funnel analytics end-to-end, identify leaks, and iterate on improvements. Maintain clean ATS data and use insights to guide strategy.
- Scale hiring throughput: Support the goal of doubling the engineering team in the coming months through improved strategy and execution.
- Enhance candidate experience: Provide white-glove coordination, scheduling, and onsite management. Build trusting relationships with candidates across compensation and equity discussions.
- Innovate recruiting operations: Test new tools, workflows, and systems to improve efficiency and equity. Own outcomes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
You should have 4+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience in startup or high-growth environments, with a proven track record hiring strong engineering and data talent. You excel at sourcing across LinkedIn, outbound channels, communities, and emerging platforms. You're a strong closer who builds trust and excitement with candidates, comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly with care. Familiarity with modern recruiting platforms (Ashby, Gem, Juicebox) and AI-enabled sourcing tools is expected.
