Perplexity AI is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle hiring for engineering teams. This role sits at the intersection of recruiting excellence and AI innovation, requiring someone who can leverage cutting-edge AI tools to source, engage, and close top technical talent at scale.
You will develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies that use AI to surface non-obvious candidates and move faster than the market. Your responsibilities include managing the complete recruitment funnel—from crafting compelling outreach and mapping talent pools to negotiating offers and closing candidates. You'll partner closely with engineering leadership to understand technical requirements and team dynamics, ensuring a best-in-class hiring experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI-augmented sourcing strategies to attract top-tier technical talent
- Use AI tools to enhance every stage of the recruitment funnel, from initial outreach to candidate screening
- Manage candidate experience with timely feedback and updates throughout the process
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to align on technical requirements and team needs
- Negotiate offers and successfully close candidates
- Analyze recruiting metrics and continuously refine processes using data-driven insights
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging AI recruiting tools, and technical recruiting best practices
You bring 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally in high-growth startup environments. You have a proven track record of placing top-tier technical talent and hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance sourcing, screening, or candidate engagement. You're fluent with Applicant Tracking Systems (Ashby preferred) and excel at analytical, data-driven decision-making. You're proactive, flexible, and thrive in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
