Salary: USD 365,000 - 435,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the end-to-end program for delivering Claude AI models into public sector environments, including US federal civilian agencies, national security, state and local, and allied international governments.
You will become the single owner of a complex, cross-functional program currently spread across public sector product and engineering leads, research, infrastructure, security, compliance, and product engineering teams. Your core mission is to establish clarity and predictability: ensuring government customers receive new models and products on a regular cadence, running authorizations like FedRAMP as a steady program rather than one-off pushes, and reducing the bespoke effort required for each new segment over time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the program for delivering new Claude models into public sector environments, sequencing dependencies and tradeoffs across research, inference capacity, cloud partners, safeguards, and compliance
- Driving FedRAMP and similar authorization programs, working with privacy, security, compliance, and platform engineering teams
- Planning and sequencing work across public sector segments (model and API availability, application parity, segment-specific product work)
- Representing public sector requirements in model launch planning alongside launch TPMs
- Establishing the operating rhythm: a single view of workstreams, owners, dependencies, risks, and status with planning, escalation paths, and launch coordination across organizations
- Converting recurring efforts into documented, repeatable processes to reduce coordination overhead for new segments or models

REQUIREMENTS:
- Several years of experience in technical program management with a track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional programs
- Experience shipping software or infrastructure into regulated or restricted environments (government clouds, air-gapped deployments, FedRAMP or similar authorization frameworks) with ability to engage meaningfully with infrastructure, ML, and security engineers
- Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams and organizations simultaneously, including research, security, and compliance partners
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively across distributed teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence without authority
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role
- US person (required due to US Government agreements)
- Preferred: experience on public sector, defense, or government cloud programs, or hold/eligibility for US security clearance
