Aurora is seeking a Technical Program Manager to manage complex Hardware Systems and Safety programs through the full product lifecycle for autonomous vehicle technology. This role sits at the intersection of hardware engineering, safety, regulatory compliance, manufacturing, and business development. You will be accountable for end-to-end program delivery, consolidating input from diverse functional teams including hardware and software engineering, manufacturing, legal/regulatory, safety/security, supply chain, and finance. Key responsibilities include establishing project plans and milestones aligned with product development, defining and driving execution of requirements and workflows, and developing dashboards to track status and communicate metrics across the organization. You will identify, catalog, and manage risks across integration programs, proactively addressing roadblocks through cross-functional collaboration. You'll represent the HW Systems and Safety organization in program meetings, provide status updates highlighting risks and proposed solutions, and support change management processes. The role requires analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities, technical understanding at the system level to propose alternatives, and the ability to remove obstacles and drive momentum. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of program management experience in fast-paced environments, and demonstrated experience developing hardware through defined Product Development Processes (Stage Gates). You must have strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels, solid technical aptitude with ability to understand technical designs and risks, and hands-on experience with project management tools. Prior engineering experience as an individual contributor is a plus. Experience using AI tools in business settings is required.
