Hinge Health is seeking a Technical Program Builder to join the Office of the CTO and architect the R&D operational engine. This is a unique builder-focused TPM role where you will design and implement systems, tooling, and AI agents that automate program management processes rather than simply managing them. You will leverage AI, automation, and smart infrastructure to eliminate manual coordination, reduce operational drag, and enable teams to move faster with clarity and precision. This role is about building scalable execution infrastructure—not status reporting. You will act as a force multiplier for engineering teams, creating systems that streamline cross-pod coordination and ensure internal operations are as innovative as the care delivered to members. In your first 3 months, you will audit and identify high-impact opportunities for AI-driven automation and tooling improvements across R&D, establish trust with R&D leadership and pod leads, and deploy initial automated agents or scripts to streamline repetitive workflows. In your first 6 months, you will architect and deploy the R&D knowledge base and Internal Developer Portal optimized for both human and AI retrieval, design and roll out standardized operational processes across R&D championing "AI-native ways of working," and lead one full quarterly OKR cycle establishing a single source of truth for the R&D roadmap. In your first year, you will build low-code integrations (Jira/Linear, Slack, GSuite) that automate metrics collection and surface project health/velocity in real-time, own the end-to-end R&D planning cycle reducing planning overhead by 30% through automation while improving forecast accuracy, and identify and implement AI/ML opportunities that become operational standards. You are a builder at heart who doesn't just ask for a tracker but builds the tool that generates it. You are comfortable writing scripts, configuring AI agents, and using technical skills to solve operational problems directly. You excel at leading at all levels, navigating the complexity of cross-pod coordination to align diverse stakeholders on planning and OKRs. You thrive in fast-paced environments and embody a hustle mentality, stepping in to bridge gaps in personnel or process. Hinge Health is transforming how 20+ million people access musculoskeletal care through AI-powered, human-centered solutions. The platform addresses acute injury, chronic pain, and post-surgical rehabilitation through personalized, evidence-based care. The company is headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in Montreal and Bangalore. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in technical program management, product operations, or a related engineering role - Demonstrated experience building custom AI agents or utilizing LLM APIs to drive productivity and automation - Proven track record of managing comprehensive planning cycles and OKR processes for technical teams - Experience with modern project management ecosystems (e.g., Jira, Linear) and documentation platforms (e.g., Notion, Confluence) - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex process changes to diverse audiences - Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience PREFERRED: - Strong understanding of Developer Experience (DX) metrics and how to influence them - Background in software engineering or data analysis - Certification in Agile or Project Management (PMP, CSM) - Experience working in a high-growth technology environment - Experience working in Health Tech and familiarity with healthcare regulations
