ClearScore is rebuilding the UK's £1.4 trillion mortgage market with Score, a completely new end-to-end management system for mortgages. The platform cuts out unnecessary admin, pain, and friction from buying a home, covering the entire journey from determining borrowing capacity to closing. Score is guided by the voice of real home buyers and close relationships with brokers, lenders, and insurers.
As Technical Product Manager for Score, you will lead the continued development of the core platform functionality, working closely with Engineering and the broader Product Management team. You'll develop deep expertise in Score's architecture, data model, and unique data verification technology to advise both Engineering and Product on extending platform capabilities while maintaining quality and stability.
You will collaborate across product, development, design, customer success, sales, and senior management to understand technological needs, balance priorities, and ship the right products and features to market.
Key responsibilities:
- Become the product expert and specialist on the core Score platform, capable of discussing the product with diverse stakeholders
- Understand and map complex business processes into technical requirements
- Map business rules into data validation and verification logic
- Manage the backlog for a scrum team
- Ensure platform principles and concepts are reflected in new development
- Bridge the gap between complex business needs and technical implementation using your combination of technical and business expertise
The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in-office for Levels 1-5. ClearScore offers a dynamic hybrid work environment designed to foster innovation, team connection, and individual productivity, with dedicated in-office days for team building and collaborative projects.
Requirements:
- Backend Software Development or Technical Delivery experience
- Demonstrated product experience and attention to detail
- Experience with Agile product development frameworks and supporting tools
- Ability to work with and challenge stakeholders to gather complex requirements and ruthlessly prioritize
- Previous experience in a startup or early-stage, fast-growing team or company
