Freenome is seeking a Technical Product Manager III to lead the planning and execution of engineering initiatives for the Commercial Data Platform and Data Products. This role bridges product strategy and technical execution, requiring deep expertise in software development lifecycle management within regulated biotech environments.
Key responsibilities include defining requirements and managing development processes for data platforms supporting commercial and R&D teams. You will partner with laboratory and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into actionable epics and user stories, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITECH, FDA, CAP/CLIA). You'll work closely with engineering teams using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning) to drive seamless execution and track progress through issue tracking systems like Jira.
You will create and operationalize a comprehensive technical strategy and integrated roadmap for Freenome's data products, pipelines, and tooling. This includes aligning cross-functional milestones across current and future programs, providing clear vision for scalability and accessibility, and ensuring complete data integrity throughout the pipeline with both technical and process-oriented solutions.
The role reports to the Associate Director of Technical Product Management and involves occasional onsite travel to Brisbane, California headquarters. This is an ideal opportunity for a product leader with 5+ years in software development, preferably in biotechnology and NGS (next-generation sequencing), who has successfully led complex trade-off decisions and improved organizational processes in regulated environments.
