Finout is a cloud cost intelligence platform trusted by enterprises like The New York Times, Wiz, Elastic, SiriusXM, and Lyft. With $85M in funding and 100+ employees across Tel Aviv and New York, the company solves a critical problem: most organizations cannot explain their cloud bills or attribute costs to teams, features, or customers.
You will own Finout's enrichment layer—the proprietary system that joins operational metrics with cost data. This is the core differentiator: while competitors show invoices and dashboards separately, Finout's enrichment layer connects them, enabling customers to answer the questions that matter: What did this cost? Who caused it? Was it worth it?
The role spans multiple domains. Kubernetes is the primary use case: you'll turn a single EC2 line item into cost per namespace, workload, team, and customer, then into efficiency metrics (idle nodes, bin packing, spot utilization) and forward-looking capacity planning. AI is the newest frontier: GPU nodes and AI gateway traffic must be enriched down to the token level, attributed to teams and features. You'll also own whatever comes next—new billing models, telemetry sources, and scale challenges that break conventional approaches.
This is a high-stakes role. Finout customers open the platform each morning to understand yesterday's spend. If data is late, wrong, or doesn't reconcile with invoices, the product has failed—regardless of feature quality. You'll work with opinionated platform and Kubernetes engineers who will challenge your thinking. The team ships fast, re-plans every few weeks, and uses AI as a core development tool.
You'll prototype ideas, hand them to the coding agent, and iterate in days. You'll ship imperfect solutions to ten enterprise customers this month rather than perfect ones next quarter. You'll dive into raw utilization data yourself, find bugs in it, and solve hard scale problems (billions of rows, sub-second query latency, correctness guarantees). You'll be comfortable being the most junior person in one room and the most senior in the next, on the same day.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in product roles (required)
- DevOps/SRE or strong data background (major plus)
- Technical depth: you learn systems faster than expected, diving into schedulers, billing models, and metrics pipelines when needed
- Ability to turn messy data questions into detections customers trust enough to act on
- Independent: you unblock yourself, prioritize your own work, and drive outcomes without waiting for direction
- Experience shipping products that required deep system understanding
- Comfort with undefined problems and rapid iteration
- Hands-on AI experience (building with it, not just opinions about it)
