Everlane is seeking a Technical Designer to join its small but mighty Technical Design Team in Los Angeles. This full-time role reports directly to the Director of Technical Design and offers the opportunity to work across multiple product categories while collaborating with cross-functional partners in Raw Materials, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Sourcing, and Sustainability.
You will be directly responsible for 1-3 product categories and provide support to additional categories. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing assigned categories, prepping samples and leading fittings with fit comments on owned products, managing category spec comparisons and fit buckets, developing block patterns for your categories, and maintaining close relationships with product vendors both domestically and internationally.
The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of technical design experience with a passion for well-fitting garments and high product excellence. You should have a strong understanding of pattern-making basics across several categories, advanced knowledge of garment construction, and advanced understanding of the garment development process from initial sketch to production. Experience leading fittings with cross-functional teams (design, merchandising, product development, etc.) is essential. Experience with 3D software such as Clo, Browzwear, or Optiex is a plus.
This is a hybrid role based in Everlane's Los Angeles Creative Studio in the Arts District, with a requirement to be in the office at least three days per week, specifically Tuesdays through Thursdays.
