Defense Unicorns is seeking a Technical Customer Success Manager to serve as the primary post-sales success lead for key commercial accounts. This role combines strategic account management with deep technical expertise, requiring someone who can operate effectively in high-stakes environments and serve as a trusted technical partner to customers.
You will own assigned accounts end-to-end, building strong relationships with executive leadership, engineering teams, and technical stakeholders. Key responsibilities include developing and executing outcome-aligned success plans, leading quarterly and executive reviews focused on platform value and customer outcomes, and proactively identifying adoption gaps, risks, and expansion opportunities.
On the technical side, you'll assist customers with Kubernetes-based platform architecture questions, guide them through secure software delivery principles and complex deployment requirements, advise on CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows, troubleshoot deployment challenges in partnership with engineering, and articulate customer requirements related to compliance, security, and regulatory frameworks.
You'll drive platform adoption across customer development teams and identify renewal and expansion opportunities. Success is measured by platform adoption rates, renewal and expansion within assigned accounts, time-to-operational capability, customer health and satisfaction, and successful platform deployments.
The role requires 10-25% travel. You should have excellent communication skills, experience supporting regulated or high-compliance deployment environments, familiarity with cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, on-prem Kubernetes), background working with platform engineering teams, and comfort with tools like HubSpot, GitHub, and Notion. Experience transitioning customer value delivery from services to productized approaches is valued.
