Ramp is building intelligent financial infrastructure for enterprise companies, automating how over $200B in annualized spend flows through 70,000+ organizations. The company handles payment authorization, risk flagging, spend categorization, and financial close processes at scale. As a Technical Consultant for Commercial customers, you will be a frontline technical advisor bridging Ramp's product capabilities with customer needs. You'll work closely with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to identify, design, and implement financial solutions for high-growth companies using standardized workflows and repeatable implementation patterns. Key responsibilities include: - Acting as technical and financial subject matter expert for customers, designing solutions through Ramp and partner integrations - Assessing customer requirements and proposing scalable solutions involving ERP, HRIS, and API integrations - Supporting technical workstreams during onboarding and implementation to accelerate time-to-value - Conducting technical discovery to understand customer systems and recommend optimal Ramp architecture - Serving as subject matter expert on HRIS and accounting integration partners - Troubleshooting integration blockers and guiding customers through complex configuration decisions - Contributing to internal documentation and tooling that scales Ramp's integration support - Influencing product roadmap by channeling customer pain points and feedback to Product and Engineering teams - Representing Product, Design, and Engineering externally with deep conviction about Ramp's technical capabilities You will define customer financial and technical success criteria from onboarding through activation and expansion, working with high-value implementations and expansion opportunities. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or related field - 2+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or similar customer-facing technical role (ideally in SaaS or fintech) - Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion) and finance/accounting workflows - Comfort working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture; ability to explain these concepts to finance and operations stakeholders - Strong communication skills: translate complex technical solutions into business value, guide customers toward scalable approaches, diplomatically steer conversations when requests misalign with best practices - Collaborative mindset and cross-functional ability to work with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering - Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills with bias toward action and high ownership - Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; adaptable and resourceful
