Lambda, a leader in AI cloud infrastructure serving tens of thousands of customers globally, is seeking a Technical Accounting Lead to support its growth trajectory and IPO readiness. This role is critical to Lambda's financial infrastructure as the company scales from a well-funded AI infrastructure provider to a public company. You will lead technical accounting research and analysis for complex, non-routine transactions under U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, equity instruments, debt, business combinations, leases, and stock-based compensation. You'll develop and maintain accounting policies, evaluate new FASB and SEC guidance, and prepare technical accounting memos with clear, well-supported recommendations. Key responsibilities include partnering cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Treasury teams to assess accounting implications before transaction execution; supporting IPO readiness efforts including S-1/10-K preparation, technical disclosures, and financial statement presentation; assisting with consolidated financial statement preparation and footnote reviews; supporting external audits and SOX readiness through documentation and control strengthening; and contributing to M&A and system implementation initiatives. You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of technical accounting experience (preferably Big 4 and/or public company), and an active CPA. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and experience with ERP tools (NetSuite, Workiva) and advanced Excel are essential. The ideal candidate has Big 4 audit/advisory experience, deep knowledge of ASC 606, 842, and 718, pre-IPO technical expertise, and background in high-growth technology companies. The position requires 4 days per week in the San Jose office (First St location), with Tuesday designated as the work-from-home day. Lambda offers competitive compensation, health/dental/vision coverage, wellness and commuter stipends, 401k with 2% match, and flexible PTO.
