iSpot.tv is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its accounting team and drive financial excellence for a high-growth AI-driven video ad measurement platform. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary architect of GAAP policy, technical accounting frameworks, and audit readiness—going beyond execution to shape the future of the financial function.
Key responsibilities include authoring technical accounting memos and researching complex GAAP standards to establish robust policies for critical business transactions. You will serve as the primary accounting subject matter expert, partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and leadership to evaluate one-off business scenarios and assess structural accounting impacts. During month-end close, you will provide targeted hands-on support for key technical areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), capitalized software (ASC 350/985), leases (ASC 842), commissions (ASC 340), and equity administration (ASC 718).
You will own end-to-end management of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, including drafting investor reporting packages and executive board materials. You will help lead the annual external audit process, managing PBC deliverables, coordinating auditor testing, and resolving technical accounting queries. Additionally, you will partner on strategic accounting initiatives, support financial systems implementations, and design scalable, audit-ready workflows to support rapid business growth.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with an active CPA license. You need 4-6+ years of progressive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, and audit management, with Big 4 public accounting or Accounting Advisory Services experience strongly preferred. Deep hands-on expertise in researching complex GAAP standards, drafting audit-ready technical memos, and managing technical close areas is essential. You should demonstrate a proven track record of building and scaling technical accounting frameworks in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments, with exceptional analytical rigor and a proactive approach to evaluating non-routine scenarios. Tech proficiency with modern financial systems (NetSuite, Carta, Tableau) and AI-driven tools is valued. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to translate complex accounting concepts for executive leadership, auditors, and investors. Preferred experience includes 2+ years in Big 4 or top-tier public accounting within Accounting Advisory Services, and familiarity with SaaS and AdTech industries.
