Okta is seeking an execution-focused Technical Account Manager (TAM) specializing in enterprise identity solutions, including Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) and Customer Identity Solutions (CIS). You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to mid-market and enterprise customer portfolios, cutting through complexity to proactively optimize configurations and guide customers on architectural best practices across hybrid SaaS, on-premise, and custom application environments. Key Responsibilities: Proactive Technical Leadership & Customer Value: Partner as the technical counterpart to Customer Success Managers across mid-market and enterprise accounts, translating complex customer requirements into tangible business value. Audit customer Okta configurations and deployment architectures to strengthen security posture, accelerate feature adoption, and drive ROI. Track and influence key account health metrics using technical insight to drive product usage, reduce friction, and prevent churn. High-Velocity Problem Solving: Address reactive technical inquiries and complex architectural blockers rapidly, breaking down multi-layered IAM challenges into actionable steps. Build trusted technical relationships with C-level executives, IT directors, architects, and developers, establishing credibility as Okta's subject matter expert. Identify recurring implementation bottlenecks across your account portfolio and partner with Product and Engineering to streamline workflows. Continuous Learning & Knowledge Enablement: Maintain deep mastery across Workforce Identity Cloud, Customer Identity Solutions, and surrounding identity/security ecosystems. Drive creation of technical best-practice guides, architecture patterns, and enablement content for internal TA teams and external customer groups. Continuously adapt to emerging identity trends, security threats, and AI-driven identity capabilities. Requirements & Qualifications: - 5+ years of total experience in information technology, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) or comparable practitioner role in the IAM space - Ability to work US Time Zone (preference) - Familiarity with IAM solution providers strongly desired - Strong background in Technical Account Management, Technical Consulting, Solution Architect, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, or similar role - Understanding of common software development practice and identity technologies - Strong business acumen with history of success owning enterprise segment customer relationships and escalations - Excellent communication skills with ability to set expectations and communicate goals with customers at various levels - Ability to track and influence customer behavior and health metrics across a portfolio of accounts
