Monday.com is a publicly listed AI work platform with over $1B in ARR and 250,000+ customers. The Enterprise Engineering group sits at the heart of the company's growth, building foundational systems that the largest customers depend on. The team is split across two closely connected areas: the Data Lifecycle team (data compliance and governance at enterprise scale) and the Account Controls team (tools for managing and controlling customer data, currently the top priority for enterprise growth). This is an individual contributor role with technical leadership scope—not a people management position. You'll drive the development of infrastructure features that shape the product's future from UI to database, working across the full stack (primarily Node.js and React). You'll navigate large-scale, cross-product technical challenges, shape data architecture that touches millions of users, and explore how AI can be meaningfully applied to data management. Key responsibilities: - Play a key role in shaping product architecture and engineering excellence - Evolve architecture and engineering practices to support growing scale of users, features, and data - Work alongside experienced, highly skilled developers using cutting-edge technologies - Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams, taking full ownership from conception to post-deployment - Operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a culture of transparency, full ownership, teamwork, and no-ego policy The role is hybrid, based in the London office in Fitzrovia, with 3 days per week on-site. You'll work with a hands-on, collaborative team that values both zooming in on details and seeing the bigger picture. Tech stack: React.js, Redux, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, AWS, Elasticsearch, Redis, MySQL. Prior experience with this stack is not required; the company welcomes people willing to learn. Requirements: - 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer - Strong technical expertise with proven track record of building products that people love and use daily - Full-stack development experience, with primary focus on backend - Experience developing large-scale, user-facing web products - Deep product understanding and passion for creating software that delivers exceptional user experience - Strong team player with excellent communication skills and empathy - Commitment to quality and simplicity in engineering and product development
