Enginy is a Barcelona-based AI-driven B2B sales and prospecting platform that automates manual prospecting workflows for sales teams. The company recently raised €5M in seed funding and is ranked #3 in the Sifted 100: Southern Europe 2026. They are scaling internationally and building the next generation of GTM (go-to-market) software.
This is a hands-on Tech Lead role where you will lead from the code while maintaining active involvement in shipping features. You'll set technical direction for your team, define engineering standards, and help shape Enginy's architecture and culture during a critical growth phase. This is not a full-time manager role removed from coding, nor a senior engineer staying heads-down—it's a hybrid leadership position where you mentor engineers while remaining deeply involved in technical delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Making architecture decisions and technical trade-offs across high-throughput backend workflows, integrations, AI-powered features, and web experiences
- Writing production code, unblocking the team, and owning complex problems end-to-end
- Defining and raising the bar on code quality, code reviews, testing, observability, and reliability
- Mentoring engineers and supporting their growth
- Working closely with Product and Design to shape the roadmap and balance speed with long-term quality
- Anticipating scalability challenges and preparing the platform for the next order of magnitude
Enginy is building an AI-native engineering culture. You'll be expected to push AI tools to their limits, experiment with new ways of working, and help define what a high-performing, AI-native engineering team looks like. The role emphasizes shipping fast and reliably while maintaining platform quality.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including time leading a team or acting as technical lead
- Strong backend fundamentals: system design, data-intensive workflows, APIs, and integrations
- Comfortable working across the stack with a product mindset (caring about the "why", not just the "how")
- Track record shipping and scaling products used by real customers, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Experience mentoring engineers and setting engineering practices
- Clear communicator in English, able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Bias for action and strong ownership; you lead by example
Nice to have:
- Experience building AI/LLM-powered features in production
- Startup or scale-up experience during high-growth phases
- Experience with sales, data enrichment, or GTM tooling
