CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B platform for used car trading across Europe, connecting over 40,000 buyers from 20+ countries with exclusive inventory. The company operates as an operating system for the automotive industry, integrating software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing.
You will lead the vehicle assessment team for Northern Germany (Norddeutschland), managing assessors in the field while maintaining hands-on involvement in vehicle evaluations. This is not a desk-based role—you work independently in your region and are present during critical assessment days.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting vehicle assessors, serving as their primary contact for vehicle intake, customer interactions, and process questions
- Maintaining and advancing quality standards through spot-check reviews of reports and assessments
- Analyzing complaints and implementing concrete corrective measures
- Managing team performance through KPIs and communicating insights to management
- Conducting regular 1:1 conversations for development and feedback
- Overseeing onboarding of new team members and transferring technical expertise
- Regularly participating in vehicle assessments yourself and representing CarOnSale professionally to dealers
Required qualifications:
- Completed technical training in automotive (e.g., master mechanic, mechatronics technician, vehicle painter, or body/vehicle mechanic)
- Minimum one year of team leadership experience combined with willingness to contribute hands-on
- Experience with vehicle assessments, expert reports, or condition inspections with strong attention to detail
- Confident handling of KPIs and metrics; ability to identify patterns and communicate findings clearly
- Professional demeanor in customer interactions and entrepreneurial mindset
- Native-level German (C2)
- Class B driver's license
- AI-affinity: active use of digital tools to improve work efficiency
Preferred: experience managing geographically distributed teams; B2-level English.
