CarOnSale is an AI-powered B2B used-car trading platform operating across Europe, connecting over 40,000 buyers from 20+ countries with exclusive inventory. The company combines software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing into an integrated operating system for the automotive trade. You will lead the vehicle assessment team for Northern Germany (Schleswig-Holstein region), managing assessors in the field while maintaining hands-on involvement in vehicle inspections. This is a hybrid role combining team leadership with field work—you are expected to be present at critical vehicle intake days and customer interactions. Key responsibilities include: leading and supporting regional vehicle assessors as their primary contact for intake, customer relations, and process questions; maintaining and advancing quality standards through spot-check reviews of reports and assessments; analyzing complaints and implementing corrective actions; managing team performance through KPIs and communicating results to management; conducting regular 1:1 development conversations; overseeing onboarding of new team members; and regularly participating in vehicle assessments using CarOnSale's assessment technology. You will be the face of CarOnSale to dealers—professional, confident, and collaborative. The role requires a technical automotive background (e.g., master mechanic, mechatronics technician, painter, or body/vehicle technician), at least one year of team leadership experience with willingness to contribute hands-on, and proven experience in vehicle assessment, appraisals, or condition inspections. You must be comfortable with data and KPIs, demonstrate professional customer-facing presence, think entrepreneurially, speak German at C2 level, hold a Class B driving license, and actively use digital tools to improve workflows. Benefits include a company car for personal use, unlimited fuel card, laptop and mobile phone, 28 days annual leave, twice-yearly career development conversations, occupational pension with 20% employer contribution, fitness membership subsidy, virtual stock options, and structured onboarding with buddy program.
