Pennylane is a high-growth European fintech (€400M raised, 1000+ employees) building financial management software for SMEs and accounting firms. The Website team owns the company's primary acquisition and conversion engine—transforming organic and paid traffic into demo bookings and self-sign-ups.
As Team Lead Website, you report to the Head of Growth and own the entire website domain: conversion strategy, product management, and leadership of a cross-functional squad (conversion specialists, engineers, designers). You are the single point of accountability for velocity, quality, and business impact.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead and develop the Website squad: define roles, rituals, OKRs; grow team members' seniority and autonomy; embed AI into daily workflows (backlog tracking, landing page creation); hire as needed.
• Own conversion strategy and execution: prioritize and accelerate initiatives that move demo bookings and self-sign-ups; frame problems, unblock bottlenecks, and challenge owners without disempowering them.
• Scale experimentation culture: increase A/B testing cadence (using AB Tasty), structure the testing process, and make experimentation a systematic conversion lever.
• Deliver cross-functional strategic projects: brand refresh, commercial messaging updates, new product launches, geographic expansion.
• Ensure technical health: monitor site performance, reliability, and security in partnership with engineering.
• Manage tracking and data integrity: own conversion data quality and alignment with Data and Growth teams.
• Orchestrate interfaces: align Product, Tech, Sales, Demand Gen, and Automation to reduce friction and resolve priority conflicts.
• Drive Website impact: track conversion KPIs, communicate results, and share learnings across Growth, Sales, and Product teams.
You are a senior conversion/product leader comfortable managing a pluridisciplinary squad and holding accountability for a high-leverage acquisition channel. You lean on your Associate Team Lead and engineering partners for technical depth while driving product and conversion strategy.
