Xero is seeking a Head of Product for AI Shared Services to lead the strategy and execution of platform foundations that power AI capabilities across the organization. This role involves building coherent, reusable platform capabilities—including Eventing, Communications, and Search—that enable product and engineering teams to spend less time on infrastructure and more time delivering customer value.
You will own the strategy and roadmap for the AI Shared Services domain, establish key metrics and dashboards to track progress, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across product, engineering, security, infrastructure, data, and operations teams. A core responsibility is driving adoption of shared AI capabilities across multiple product and engineering teams, turning fragmented tools and experiments into standardized, reusable services.
The ideal candidate brings strong product leadership experience with platform products, infrastructure, developer experience, or enterprise services. You should be comfortable managing a portfolio of interdependent products and have technical fluency in distributed systems, eventing, communication platforms, data platforms, and cloud environments. Strong commercial judgment is essential for building investment cases for shared capabilities. You thrive in ambiguity, navigate competing priorities and complex dependencies with a level head, and have a proven track record of growing people and teams while helping them understand how their work connects to broader organizational goals.
