Join Novartis (DTX Pharma) as Team Lead for General Ledger and Reporting, leading financial operations across Latin America and Canada with primary focus on Latin American countries. This is a highly visible leadership role combining accounting expertise, people management, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities across LaCan entities
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
- Deliver accurate financial reporting packages and variance analyses
- Support external audits, NFCM compliance activities, and financial control reviews
- Lead talent development, succession planning, and resource allocation for the accounting team
- Collaborate with regional CFOs, FRA Heads, Business Planning & Analysis teams, Internal Audit, Global Process Owners, and Corporate Reporting stakeholders
- Drive process governance and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with active CPA or equivalent professional certification
- 7+ years of experience in accounting, reporting, audit, or finance operations
- Proven experience leading accounting and reporting teams
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, and internal controls
- Advanced English proficiency
- SAP/ERP system experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems in complex multinational environments
- Background in finance transformation, automation, shared services, or process improvement initiatives
- Critical thinking and financial accounting expertise
This role is based in Mexico City, Insurgentes. Novartis does not offer relocation support; candidates must be accessible to this location.
