Rapyd is a global fintech platform unifying payments, payouts, and financial services across 190+ countries. As Tax Team Leader, you will own end-to-end tax compliance for Rapyd's North Latin America cluster, covering Colombia, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.
You will manage monthly and annual tax filings across multiple tax types (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, municipal taxes) and jurisdictions. You'll review and coordinate work performed by external tax advisors, ensuring compliance controls and filing documentation are properly maintained. You'll lead responses to tax audits, inquiries, and regulatory requests from tax authorities, serving as the primary point of contact for tax matters in the region.
Key responsibilities include providing tax guidance to internal stakeholders across Finance, Product, and Operations teams; monitoring tax law changes and regulatory developments to keep Rapyd ahead of compliance requirements; and leading and developing the regional tax team. You'll drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements to scale tax operations efficiently as the business grows.
This role requires strong technical tax knowledge, experience managing tax compliance in Latin American jurisdictions, and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and business teams. You'll report to a senior finance leader and have direct ownership of the tax function across a high-growth fintech region.
