Crux is a capital platform modernizing fundraising and deployment for clean energy and critical infrastructure. The company combines advisory, investments, technology, and intelligence to connect capital with clean economy projects. Backed by $77M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Lowercarbon Capital, Crux is scaling rapidly with a team of experts in energy, tax, finance, and technology.
As Tax Partnerships Lead, you will own end-to-end relationships with accounting and tax advisory firms—a critical channel for bringing tax credit buyers and tax equity investors onto the platform. You'll report to the Partnerships Principal in a high-autonomy individual contributor role.
Key responsibilities include: scaling relationships with enterprise accounting firms (Big 4 and regional players), optimizing partner playbooks with commercial teams to drive referral conversion and revenue, expanding mid-market partnerships with new co-sell structures, and maintaining sharp partner records and attribution alongside RevOps. You'll lead cross-functional collaboration with Market Intelligence and Marketing on intelligence briefings, tailored reports, and client activation. Approximately 25% travel to partner briefings, conferences, and roadshows.
You bring genuine tax fluency—able to credibly discuss tax considerations, deal structures, and client advice with Big 4 partners and in-house tax executives. You understand professional services dynamics: how accounting firm BD operates, independence/compliance constraints, billing relationships, and partner motivations. You have proven enterprise-level relationship-building capabilities and a track record of driving material commercial outcomes (revenue, pipeline, conversion metrics). With 6–8 years of experience, you combine a builder's mindset and bias to action with commercial accountability. Background might include accounting firms, transaction advisory, tax technology/insurance channels, or structured finance—what matters is fluency, commercial instinct, and alignment with Crux values.
