ServiceNow seeks an experienced Director of Partner Development to build and scale the Sovereign Cloud partner ecosystem, initially across Europe, the Middle East and Africa with a mandate for global expansion. This strategic leadership role sits at the intersection of partner development, cloud infrastructure, commercial strategy, and market creation.
You will develop sovereign cloud providers and repeatable partnership approaches rather than manage established relationships. The role addresses a critical market need: governments and regulated organizations increasingly require cloud solutions with strict sovereignty, security, data residency, and operational control. Sovereign Cloud Partners enable ServiceNow to serve customers and markets unable to adopt standard cloud models.
Key responsibilities include: shaping the Sovereign Cloud partner-development strategy with initial EMEA focus; identifying and assessing relationships with sovereign cloud providers and infrastructure organizations; exploring market opportunities and defining joint value propositions; developing repeatable partner, business, operating, and go-to-market models adaptable across countries and regulatory environments; connecting commercial opportunity with technical and product readiness; convening senior stakeholders across product, engineering, cloud operations, sales, legal, finance, and partnerships to solve complex challenges; translating customer, industry, and regulatory needs into partner-development priorities; and representing the opportunity internally and externally to build momentum.
You combine partner-development expertise and commercial judgment with sufficient technical understanding to ask critical questions and connect infrastructure decisions to partner and customer outcomes. Your background may span partner ecosystem development, cloud platforms and infrastructure, sovereign/government cloud and regulated markets, strategic business development, enterprise software and hyperscalers, or scaling new partner-led business models across multiple countries. You demonstrate a track record developing partner capability and ecosystems (not just managing relationships), shaping complex opportunities beyond established playbooks, translating technical considerations into commercial choices, sound judgment in ambiguity, influencing senior leaders without direct authority, excellent communication and executive engagement, global mindset with cultural awareness and travel willingness, and curiosity about AI and automation in partner development.
