NEURA Robotics, a Series B robotics company, seeks an experienced Tax Manager to lead all tax affairs for the organization as it expands internationally. Based in Riederich, Germany, this full-time role reports into Finance & Controlling and serves as the central point of contact for tax compliance, strategy, and advisory across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage timely and accurate preparation or coordination of tax returns (corporate income tax, trade tax, VAT) in cooperation with external tax advisors and authorities
- Provide tax guidance for international expansion, including into the US; review transfer pricing matters and ensure cross-border structures are properly established
- Advise executive management, Finance, and business departments on tax implications of new business models, contracts, and corporate structures
- Build and continuously develop a Tax Compliance Management System (Tax CMS) that scales with company growth
- Lead tax audits and serve as primary liaison with tax authorities and external auditors
- Monitor national and international tax law changes and derive actionable recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Controlling, Legal, and People & Culture to integrate tax considerations early in processes and projects
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or comparable qualification with taxation focus
- Several years of professional experience in tax (tax advisory firm, audit firm, or tax department of fast-growing international company)
- Sound knowledge of German corporate tax law and fundamental understanding of international tax issues (transfer pricing, double taxation treaties)
- Independent, structured, solution-oriented working style with ability to manage complex cross-border topics
- Strong communication skills to convey complex tax matters clearly to functional teams and leadership
- Very good German and good English language skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional tax advisor qualification (Steuerberater)
- Experience with US tax matters
- Experience with DATEV and/or SAP
- Experience setting up tax structures during international expansion or M&A
- Knowledge of payroll tax or customs/foreign trade law
