Hilbert is a data science-first growth infrastructure company (Series A, a16z-backed) that helps B2C teams predict user behavior and optimize revenue decisions. The company works with Fortune 500 enterprises and consumer brands like FreshDirect and Blank Street Coffee.
You will build Hilbert's talent engine across LATAM as a Talent Specialist. This is a sourcing-heavy, high-ownership role focused on proactive recruitment across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, and surrounding markets.
Key responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end sourcing and pipeline building across LATAM for all functions: engineering, AI/ML, product, GTM, growth, operations, and corporate roles
- Develop sourcing strategies quickly by understanding candidate profiles, mapping markets, and identifying talent pools
- Find passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, communities, referrals, and other channels
- Write targeted outreach messaging and test different approaches rather than using templates
- Build talent maps for difficult, business-critical searches
- Conduct recruiter screens and calibrate candidate quality with hiring managers
- Own candidate momentum from initial outreach through interview process and closing
- Track funnel metrics (outreach, response rates, qualified candidates, conversions, hires) and iterate on approach
- Build market intelligence on talent availability, compensation, competitors, and candidate behavior across LATAM
- Identify and help fix recruiting process bottlenecks
The role requires someone who loves sourcing, can operate independently, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and recruiting infrastructure is still being built. You'll partner directly with hiring managers, challenge unrealistic requirements using market data, and help shape how LATAM recruiting scales.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on recruiting and sourcing experience across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and Chile (required; you must have personally built pipelines and recruited in each market)
- Sourcer at heart with proven track record of finding and engaging passive talent
- Ability to show examples of difficult searches you've solved and explain your approach
- Capability to move between technical and non-technical searches without extended ramp time
- Strong market research skills to identify companies and talent pools
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter beyond basic keyword searches
- Highly resourceful; able to find alternative sourcing channels when primary approaches don't work
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent searches with urgency and self-direction
- Comfortable challenging hiring managers with data and market insights
- Focus on quality and speed in candidate generation
- Comfortable in early-stage environment with evolving recruiting infrastructure
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish (required)
BONUS:
- Portuguese proficiency, especially for Brazil sourcing and engagement
- Experience recruiting for US market and partnering with US-based hiring managers
- Background recruiting for AI, engineering, data, SaaS, or technical companies
- Early-stage or high-growth startup experience building recruiting processes from scratch
- Experience building talent maps, sourcing systems, or pipelines from zero
